SOTOMAYOR HEARINGS
The confirmation hearings for Sonia Sotomayor begin tomorrow Monday, July 13 at 10:00 a.m. EST. If confirmed she will be the first Latina to serve as a Supreme Court Justice. The site will be airing the hearings live. So if you want to check in and see what's going on during work, home or wherever, go for it. Here's the site:

HORNE v. FLORES

MALDEF or the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund helped win a case in which the Supreme Court upheld a student's right to learn in English. Read it here:

LUIS RAMIREZ HATE CRIME
Some of you may have signed a petition to demand justice for the murder of Luis Ramirez, a Latino living in Shenadoah, Pennsylvannia who was beaten to death.
