SOTOMAYOR HEARINGS
The confirmation hearings for Sonia Sotomayor begin tomorrow Monday, July 13 at 10:00 a.m. EST. If confirmed she will be the first Latina to serve as a Supreme Court Justice. HORNE v. FLORES
MALDEF or the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund helped win a case in which the Supreme Court upheld a student's right to learn in English. Read it here:

LUIS RAMIREZ HATE CRIME
Some of you may have signed a petition to demand justice for the murder of Luis Ramirez, a Latino living in Shenadoah, Pennsylvannia who was beaten to death.
